Brian Selznick

Author & Illustrator
I began my work with Anna imagining she would act as a teacher, or guru. I wanted her to tell me exactly what I should do in order to improve my creative work, and myself. But what I came to discover is that Anna is more like a lighthouse...she's the light that pierces through the darkness. She helped me come to terms with things that scare me and impede me. She helped me find blind spots, and encouraged me to navigate my way towards the open ocean where new discoveries are waiting. I was left feeling grateful, and transformed.
