I recently coached a woman who was experiencing overwhelm and was deeply frustrated. Brilliant creative ideas would flood her mind and yet she was implementing none of them. Instead she was distracting herself with busyness, hoping to earn her place on the starting block through attempting to become a better version of herself first.
She doesn’t need to do that bit.
“I’m not good enough”
She doesn’t need to believe that lie.
If a bold creative idea has landed within you, know that you are seeing it because you are the one who is capable of creating it.
You might need to sharpen a few practical skills in the process, so go ahead and sharpen them. Don’t confuse what you have to do, with who you are.
You don’t need to become a better version of yourself to begin. You don’t need to become a better version of yourself, full stop, period.
The idea chose you.
So breathe life into it.
